Various Adjustments

To adjust the cable, put the shifter into second gear and turn the "adjuster" (see diagram above) until the solid part of the indicator rod (this part is sometimes called the indicator chain) is flush with the end of the axle. This diagram is used with the permision of Sutherland's Publications.

Adjusting The Cones

In order to adjust either the right or left hub cone, tighten the cone until it will not go any further and back off 1/4 turn. At this point, tighten the locknut against the cone to keep it in place.
